Check out the calendar to see what spots are available. Then e-mail your class choice to robin@turkeyfootpottery.com and let me know how many (up to 3 people). TFP will confirm availability and provide link to pay online to secure the spot. Cash or charge at the studio or PAY ONLINE. Venmo also available.
As I recover fully form back surgery, I am scheduling 3 potters at a time. In December, I will move to 4 potters. At this time, we are not setup for hand building.
YES. Example if you book just for yourself, it will be just you. If you have a group of 2, it will be just your group. Other than people stopping in the studio, your session is pretty much private.
Students can start as young as 10. For at least the first session, an adult must accompany the potter as a spectator or student. We can only work with 2 young adult students at a time (ages 10 to 15 years old).
Sorry... we only allow our clay and glazes in the studio.
No creation is guaranteed to survive and come out the way you envision -- it’s all up to the kiln gods. TFP reserves the right to dismiss firing pieces that we feel will compromise other items in the kiln. We also cannot guarantee the color glaze you pick will come out exactly as you envision.
Yes. Additional clay may be purchased at $3/lb.
They go into the re-claim bucket for future "hand building" and other studio use.
Before you leave the studio, you will decide if you would like all of your pottery finished. Finished pottery cost will be between $5-$7 each depending upon size and quantity of survivors. Due at pickup in 5-6 weeks.
At this time, masks are not required, but you may wear one if you are more comfortable. If you or anyone is not feeling well, please reschedule.
Yes. We will be offering various skill level session opportunities. From one-on-one private instruction, group parties to "uninstructed" time on the wheel. Email Robin at robin@turkeyfootpottery.com if you are interested in wheel time.
At this time, patrons will not be handling glaze. All glazing and firing take place offsite by TFP. Safety Data Sheet for Clay used in studio - click here. Side note regarding clay and mold - at times the clay may contain small amounts of mold, which after firing twice won't be an issue for your finished piece. All patrons will be required to sign a liability waiver.
